BRC Global Standards are a safety and quality certification program used by more than 20,000 certified suppliers in 90 countries, with certification issued through a worldwide network of accredited certification organisms, such as NSF. CUKRA INDUSTRIAL, S.A., is BRC certified since April 2014. At the 2019 recertification, we obtained the "AA" rating for the fourth consecutive year, demonstrating the steadiness of our safety culture, commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

The organic standards describe the specific requirements that must be verified by a USDA-accredited certifying agent, such as BIOLATINA, before products can be labeled USDA organic. Overall, organic operations must demonstrate that they are protecting natural resources, conserving biodiversity, and using only approved substances. CUKRA INDUSTRIAL, S.A. was certified organic in January 2014, certification renewed in 2018.

Imported food products are subject to FDA review when the food is offered for import at U.S. ports of entry. FDA does not certify, license, or otherwise approve individual food importers, products, labels, or shipments prior to importation. Importers can import food into the United States as long as the facilities that produce, pack, store, or otherwise handle the products are registered with FDA and meet other FDA requirements. CUKRA INDUSTRIAL, S.A. is registered with FDA.

Certificate issued by the Ministry of Health of Nicaragua (MINSA), pursuant to the law 423 of Title XVIII, Chapter 1, Arto 445, paragraph 19; for having successfully fulfilled the requirements of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) established in the NTON 03 369-061 and Central regulation RTCA 67.01.33.06, on March 26, 2019.

HACCP Certificate is a program of the Institute for Agricultural Health Protection (IPSA) in Nicaragua which is awarded to processing plants that surpass the requirements for the implementation of the System Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (APPCC / HACCP) and is equivalent to the requirements of international markets. CUKRA INDUSTRIAL, S.A. it has its process plants certified with the following establishment codes: 100 Dehusked Plant; 101 Whitening Plant and 3540-125 Finished Products Plant; renovated in July 2019.

 

The National Quality Award was instituted by Law No. 219, "Law on Standardization and Quality of July 2, 1996. Pursuant to the provisions of the Government of Nicaragua gives recognition to companies that promote, develop and disseminate processes and systems for the continuous improvement of the quality of its products and services, which are obtained with the effective implementation of a quality system. CUKRA INDUSTRIAL, S.A. Was awarded in 2013, 2014 and 2017.

AWARD TO THE INNOVATIVE EXPORTER: To stand out in the export field in the innovation of products, processes and market strategies to ensure and position ourselves in international markets competitively; Prize awarded by the Association of Producers and Exporters of Nicaragua APEN.

Prize major exporter to EUROPE: For driving, penetrate and stand out as the largest exporter to the market with greater requirements "EUROPE"; Prize granted by the Association of Producers and Exporters of Nicaragua APEN, in 2016.

We incorporate the SEDEX ETI reports that include certifications associated with Ethical Trading, such as Health and Safety, Labor Standards, Environment and Business Ethics.

The Gender Equality Technical Unit and Non-discrimination in Employment, from the Ministry of Labour in Nicaragua, granted Cukra Industrial, S.A. with the Recognition for compliance on equality and Non-discrimination in Employment.
